Welcome to the Center for Talent Development’s Educational Program
Guide. This searchable guide is a user-friendly directory of programs
and opportunities available to students for the development of their academic
talent.
This guide is intended to inform students and their families of a wide range of
unique options that are currently being offered for advanced summer and
academic-year coursework. Each listing includes session dates, fees and
locations, as well as the names and addresses of persons to contact for
additional information.

RECOMMENDED PROGRAMS
Summer Program
The Summer Program at Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development provides rigorous enrichment, honors and AP® courses designed to inspire and challenge gifted students, complemented by social activities that promote friendships and fun. Courses are available for students in PreK through grade 12 through grade-specific programs. Sessions last one to three weeks, and students can apply for one, two or three sessions, depending on the program. Find the program suited for you, and apply today!
Gifted LearningLinks (GLL)
Combining gifted education expertise with advanced technology, this online program offered by Center for Talent Development provides academically talented students in kindergarten through grade 12 the opportunity to take enrichment, high school honors, AP® and university credit courses online – from wherever they are, whenever they want, and at a pace suited to their needs.
Civic Education Project (CEP)
Operated by Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development, CEP offers award-winning citizenship and leadership programs that promote civic responsibility by combining hands-on education and service learning. Through its CivicAction, CivicWeek and Civic Leadership Institute offerings, CEP provides unique learning challenges for students in grades 7 through 12.
Accelerated Weekend Experience (AWE)
Center for Talent Development’s AWE program provides academically talented students in grades 5 through 9 the chance to explore, with an expert in the field, an area of study in depth and with concentration over one weekend.
